Hanoi Launches Second Open Top Bus Tour
The second double-decker bus tour named Thang Long-Ha Noi City Tour was launched in Ha Noi on November 3
The bus arrives every 30 minutes and runs through 11 relic sites in Ha Noi. Each bus is worth VND6 billion (US$258,000) and has a total capacity for 80 passengers. It is also equipped with free wifi, refrigerators, TVs and surveillance cameras.
The open top bus follows the Euro 4 emission standards and has an automatic multi-lingual narration system to suit the needs of tourists from around the world.
As an opening promotion, from November 30 to December 2, Thang Long-Ha Noi City tour open top bus will serve local and foreign tourists completely free of charge.
Tickets cost VND 219,000 for a four-hour tour, VND 329,000 for 24 hours and VND 479,000 for 48 hours.

Cultural Activities To Welcome New Year
A series of cultural activities will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo Tourism Area in Son Tay Town, Ha Noi, from December 1, 2018 to January 2, 2019, to welcome the New Year 2019.
The organizing board will also introduce folk activities, ethnic people’s dancing, cuisine, specialties of ethnic groups; creating a destination to attract tourists and gradually improve the tourism products of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
A reappearing mountain village fair will be the highlight of the series of cultural activities. It will reflect the rich cultural space of the Northwest and Northeastern ethnic groups, creating an atmosphere of the impressive highland market for visitors to enjoy the food, traditional specialties, folk dancing and folk games by the Mong, Lao, Khang, Thai, Tay, Dao and Khmu ethnic people.
In addition to daily activities, weekend tourism programmes will continue to introduce the culture, customs and habits of 13 ethnic peoples, along with activities to experience at the “common house” of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Viet Nam.
National Tourism Year 2019 To Highlight Theme ‘Colour of Sea’
The National Tourism Year 2019 will take place in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa coastal province, under the theme ‘Colour of the Sea’, heard a press conference held in Ha Noi on November 30.
The festival will run throughout next year with various activities hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant ministries and sectors, the authorities of Khanh Hoa Province and 14 other participating cities and provinces.
In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, the year-long festival will include hundreds of events such as a sea tourism programme, a triathlon event, the 2019 Miss Viet Nam beauty peasant, and a conference on developing the central coastal areas.
By combining the two events, Khanh Hoa Province expects to welcome more than 7 million tourists, including 3 million foreign vacationers, in 2019.
