Vietnam targets 4.5 million foreign arrivals in 2010

The tourism sector sets a target of welcoming around 4.5 million foreign visitors in 2010, representing an increase of 20% over this year, said Nguyen Van Tuan, Director General of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

100,000 tourists in Ho Chi Minh City tour during Tet holiday

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sport, and Tourism reported that the number of tourists touring during the Lunar New Year 2010 (Tet holiday) increased sharply. Nearly 100,000 tourists in the city will tour Vietnam and go abroad from the first day to the fourth day of Tet holiday.

International visitors to Vietnam in December estimated 376,400 arrivals. Totally, international visitors in 12 months reached 3,772,359 arrivals, 10.9% lower than those in the same period of year 2008.
